Janet H. Winningham has more than thirty years of experience in the areas of commercial real estate and finance law. Janet has represented lenders in financing transactions including first mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, construction loans, sale-leaseback transactions and other structured financings. She has substantial experience representing owners and developers in connection with construction projects of all sizes and complexity. These projects range from single short-term projects to complex, multi-year, multi-phased, multi-million dollar developments in a wide spectrum of industries, including five-star hotels, hospital expansion and renovation projects valued over $300 million, assisted living facilities and sports facilities. Additionally, Janet has represented large corporate tenants in office and retail leasing.

Janet started her practice at Jenner and Block. Prior to joining Ginsberg Jacobs LLC in 2009, Janet was formerly a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenmann, LLP, Special Counsel to McDonald’s Corporation, and Senior Counsel to the Illinois Housing Development Authority. After practicing with Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, LLP as a partner in Honigman’s Chicago office, Janet returned to Ginsberg Jacobs in 2017.
