Ginsberg Jacobs Names Equity Partner and Income Partner
David A. Lapins has been practicing law for more than 30 years, and has extensive experience in the representation of commercial real estate private equity funds, investors, owners, and institutional lenders. His practice includes all aspects of commercial real estate joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, multi-property and multi-stage mortgage loan transactions, as well as asset and loan portfolio acquisitions and sales. David’s notable clients include The John Buck Company, Bridge Development Partners, Fifield Companies, R2 Companies, Singerman Real Estate, North Wells Capital, and Monroe Capital.
David joined Ginsberg Jacobs LLC as an income partner in 2014 and will be the fourth equity partner, together with Daniel C. Cole and co-founders Darryl P. Jacobs and Steven F. Ginsberg.
Karen Halm-Lutterodt focuses her practice in the areas of real estate, finance, commercial litigation, and telecommunications. Her experience encompasses transactional commercial real estate including lease negotiations and all aspects of telecommunications site leasing, development, and land use zoning. She also routinely counsels telecommunications clients on environmental risks in transactions and compliance with environmental requirements. Additionally, Karen represents lenders and corporate clients in commercial mortgage foreclosures, mechanic’s lien actions, and municipal ordinance violations with Illinois cities and villages, including the City of Chicago.
Karen joined Ginsberg Jacobs LLC in 2009 after serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
