Jay S. Readey focuses his practice on real estate finance, community development, tax-advantaged investing, and corporate transactions. His experience includes representing Qualified Community Businesses and Community Development Entities in low-income community transactions involving New Markets Tax Credits. Jay has been working with New Markets Tax Credits for over a decade, and has been a frequent instructor in New Markets for those new to the field. Jay also maintains an active interest in early-stage growth ventures and angel or venture investor groups.

Prior to joining Ginsberg Jacobs, Jay was executive director of the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, during which time he maintained active involvement in New Markets Tax Credits as part of the Lawyers’ Committee’s extensive transactional community development programming.
