Mark has been a transactional attorney for over three decades. For the four years prior to joining Ginsberg Jacobs, Mark served as the general counsel of Magic Leap Inc. Magic Leap is a mixed reality technology company that is building the next generation computing platform. It has raised over $3.0 billion in funding from well-known institutional investors and venture capital firms, as well as from Google and Alibaba. As a member of its senior leadership team, Mark oversaw all company legal aspects, including corporate governance matters, financing transactions, hardware and software procurement, mergers and acquisitions, content development, telecommunication transactions and other distribution partnerships, privacy matters, and information security.
Prior to joining Magic Leap, Mark was a corporate partner at Perkins Coie in Silicon Valley for 16 years and a founding member of its Palo Alto office. Mark’s practice focused on advising venture capital and private equity startups. Mark has formed hundreds of startups, raising billions in venture capital funds and consummated hundreds of acquisitions. Mark also developed an impressive search fund practice with over 40 search fund clients. Additionally, Mark taught a class at Harvard Business School for many years entitled acquiring privately held companies.
